Our innovation can help predict these Earthquakes:
Earthquake strikes south of Turkey
(CNN) -- A 5.8-magnitude earthquake struck Saturday in the Mediterranean Sea, some 50 miles (80 kilometers) south southwest of Avsallar, Turkey, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The quake struck at a relatively shallow depth of 32 miles (51 kilometers) in the seismically active region, it said.
Video shot in Antalya and aired by Turkish broadcaster DHA showed chandeliers shaking.
Turkey is no stranger to seismic events. A magnitude 7.6 earthquake in Izmit, Turkey, killed more than 17,000 people in 1999, according to the USGS. A magnitude 7.2 tremor in Duzce the same year killed 894 people, the USGS reported.

Field trip to the Vet's
To further our understanding on an animal's ability to predict earthquakes, the πthons took a trip to see Dr. Harshad Patel. I have to say that this experience was quite amazing. While touring the facility, we were fascinated by the sophistication of the current technology for treating pets.Then, we all sat down with Dr. Patel to discuss the topic correlation between animals and natural disaster. Similar to what we had been discussing back our πthon headquarters, Dr. Patel clarified the difference between fact and observation. He told us that because an animal's ability to detect earthquakes varies from place to place, earthquake to earthquake, this phenomena is still classified as merely a theory. Our team is forever grateful for this experience.

Visit to California Academy of Science
Hello, I am Neha. Today I got the opportunity to visit the California Academy of Sciences. On display, there was a gigantic exhibit about earthquakes. This included a show in the planetarium, and a life size earthquake simulator. Here are some of the pictures of my trip.
